Hair Turbans with Kim Kimble & Brandon Hicks

Hair Royalty Kim Kimble and Kendra Garvey are highly creative women…and when they call me up telling me about some new cool hair idea they want to test out…. you already know I’m signing up!

This time the idea was making turbans out of hair and shooting it. I loved the thought of this and called my friend who is also an amazing photographer @BrandonHicks.

Kim told me her and Kendra had started on this blueish green hair piece as well as one that was more of a purple, orange, and brown color palette. They sent me a few pictures of the hair laid out on a table and I tried to figure out what I would do for makeup and wardrobe that would compliment the turbans.

Of course I decided on some Hippie Chik pieces… the shag vest, kimono, and jewelry can be found on the site really soon if I can sit my ass down and actually upload them tonight!!

As for makeup!!! I decided to go for a melanin fairy type of vibe with the make up…. subtly using  color and keeping things soft… while adding this warrior princess bold liner with turquoise sparkles paired with this beautify nude lip.

In the 2nd look I ended up changing my lip to Kat Von D Everlasting Glimmer Veil in Reverb! And added an extra pair of hand brought to you by the lovely @hairbydeandrepeoples
